Job Description
RegalCare at Glen Ridge is a premier skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility committed to providing exceptional care and services to our residents. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Director to oversee all aspects of the facility's maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and address any issues promptly.
- Cook up and schedule routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and renovations.
- Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and tools necessary for maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
- Manage the budget for maintenance-related expenses and seek cost-effective solutions.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests outside of regular business hours as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to support the overall goals and objectives of the facility.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a healthcare or similar setting.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other relevant maintenance areas.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices for facility maintenance.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
