Director of Maintenance

Job Description

RegalCare at Glen Ridge is a premier skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility committed to providing exceptional care and services to our residents. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Director to oversee all aspects of the facility's maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and address any issues promptly.
• Cook up and schedule routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and renovations.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and tools necessary for maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
• Manage the budget for maintenance-related expenses and seek cost-effective solutions.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests outside of regular business hours as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to support the overall goals and objectives of the facility.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a healthcare or similar setting.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other relevant maintenance areas.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices for facility maintenance.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
