Director of Maintenance

MUST HAVE NURSING HOME OR HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Maintenance to oversee all maintenance department operations and personnel, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our facilities in Yonkers, New York.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all maintenance department operations and personnel.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility, including safety, upkeep, appearance, and equipment performance.
• Supervise and assign maintenance staff responsibilities and schedules.
• Schedule and ensure completion of all maintenance and repairs.
• Provide oversight of maintenance/repairs and ensure contracted services are completed in a timely fashion.
• Maintain records of all repairs, preventative maintenance, warranties, and inspections.
• Coordinate department operations, budgets, and monitoring expenditures.
• Ensure all maintenance work is in accordance with State/Federal and OSHA standards.
• Be "on-call" for emergency situations.

Requirements

• Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electric, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Prior supervisory experience in a healthcare maintenance setting.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Strong work ethic, intense drive, and initiative for quality service.
• Solid computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office.
• Ability to multi-task, stay on task, and maintain focus in stressful situations.
• Evidence of solid leadership and supervision skills.
• Nursing home or healthcare experience is required.
