Director of Lowcountry Counseling Center

Qualifications

• Ph.D./Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology preferred
• Professional license in the state of South Carolina required (LISW, LPC, or LMFT)
• Minimum of five years of experience working in a mental health setting with supervisory responsibilities
• Preferred seven years of progressive experience with at least two years in a leadership position
• Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations and treatment assessments
• Proficient with various software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic communication
• Must be able to pass standard background checks including: drug screen, employment physical, SLED, DSS Central Registry, and Sex Offenders Registry
• Belief system and engagement in faith practices compatible with the United Methodist Church

Requirements

• Provides vision and leadership in establishing and monitoring the scope and direction of the Epworth Center for Counseling
• Ensures the operation of the Epworth Center for Counseling is consistent with national standards of practice
• Monitors the budget, establishes funding priorities, and identifies optional funding resources
• Oversees the provision of time-efficient, culturally informed individual and group counseling and related services
• Trains, consults, supervises, and evaluates the activities of the Epworth Center for Counseling's clinical professionals and staff
