The Director of Life, Supplemental & Ancillary Distribution at Carepoint will lead the growth and development of the Life and Supplemental product division. Carepoint is a leading Field Marketing Organization (FMO) supporting thousands of licensed insurance agents and agencies nationwide.
Position Summary
The Director will drive strategic growth, carrier relationships, agency recruitment, sales development, and overall performance of Carepoint's Life, Supplemental, and Ancillary product portfolio. This role works closely with agency partners, carrier representatives, market development teams, and executive leadership to expand production, strengthen distribution channels, launch new products, and develop sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute Carepoint's Life, Supplemental, and Ancillary growth strategy.
Recruit and develop agency partners focused on Life and Supplemental insurance sales.
Identify opportunities to expand distribution channels and increase market penetration.
Establish annual production goals and growth initiatives.
Drive revenue growth through agency engagement and strategic partnerships.
Serve as the primary relationship manager for Life, Supplemental, and Ancillary carrier partners.
Negotiate contracts, compensation arrangements, bonus programs, and growth opportunities.
Identify and onboard new carrier relationships aligned with organizational goals.
Maintain strong relationships with carrier leadership and sales teams.
Support agency partners with business planning, product positioning, sales strategies, and growth initiatives.
Conduct agency training sessions, webinars, workshops, and field meetings.
Collaborate with Market Development Directors and Agency Services teams to maximize partner success.
Assist agencies in developing Life and Supplemental sales opportunities within their existing client base.
Evaluate existing product offerings and identify opportunities for expansion.
Develop strategies to increase adoption of Life, Final Expense, Hospital Indemnity, Cancer, Critical Illness, Accident, Dental, Vision, and other ancillary products.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging market opportunities.
Support product launches and carrier initiatives.
Partner with Sales, Marketing, Contracting, Commissions, Agency Services, and Operations teams.
Aid in the development of sales materials, training programs, and marketing campaigns.
Ensure agencies receive exceptional support throughout the sales lifecycle.
Provide leadership on Life and Supplemental product initiatives across the organization.
Monitor production performance, agency growth, and carrier results.
Develop and present business reviews to executive leadership.
Track key performance indicators and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
Provide forecasting and growth projections for the Life and Supplemental business unit.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Life Insurance, Supplemental Insurance, Ancillary Products, or Insurance Distribution.
Prior experience within an FMO, IMO, MGA, insurance carrier, brokerage, or distribution organization.
Demonstrated success developing agency relationships and driving sales growth.
Strong understanding of Life Insurance, Final Expense, Hospital Indemnity, Critical Illness, Cancer, Accident, Dental, Vision, and related supplemental products.
Experience managing carrier relationships and distribution partnerships.
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Existing network of agency principals, recruiters, and carrier executives.
Experience launching and scaling Life or Supplemental product divisions.
Knowledge of Medicare cross-selling strategies.
Experience working with national distribution organizations and independent agencies.
CRM experience, preferably Salesforce.
