Director of Learning & Technical Training
About the Role
This role is an opportunity to design, launch, and scale learning and technical training programs that strengthen workforce capability across Lanco Group of Companies' operations and corporate functions. You will build programs that strengthen leadership pipelines, accelerate time to competency, develop skilled technical talent, and drive operational and customer success through technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute a learning strategy aligned with business goals, partnering with Operations, Safety, and HR to assess workforce needs, improve time to competency, develop leadership pipelines, and build sustainable skilled-trade and apprenticeship programs.
- Oversee safety, regulatory, certification, and technical training programs to ensure employees have the skills and knowledge needed to perform safely and effectively.
- Lead the company’s aftermarket technical training center, providing high-quality product and equipment training for internal teams and external customers while supporting customer success and revenue growth.
- Develop skills frameworks and training programs that strengthen technical capability across critical roles.
- Partner with Operations and external training institutions to support apprenticeship and skilled-trade development and build a sustainable pipeline of technical talent.
- Lead the company’s LMS, LXP, and digital learning tools to create a scalable learning environment.
- Convert operational knowledge, technical procedures, and best practices into accessible learning resources.
- Use data and KPI reporting to measure effectiveness and support workforce decisions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Technical Training, or Workforce Development, including 5+ years in leadership.
- Proven experience developing technical training, skills development, workforce capability, or apprenticeship programs.
- Ability to partner with Operations, Safety, HR, and technical subject matter experts to identify needs and develop practical training solutions.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, equipment-driven, or technical service environments preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and develop high-performing training teams.
- Hands-on experience with LMS/LXP platforms, digital learning tools, adoption, and effectiveness measurement.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, vendors, training partners, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong communication, project management, and execution skills with a strategic, customer-focused mindset.
- Passion for continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Business, or related field preferred.

Pay
The base pay range for this role is $120,000 to $145,000. The final compensation offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, and location.
