Director of Laboratory Administration

About the role

The Director provides leadership for operational, staffing, and service functions of the lab, working in partnership with the Lab Director. This role focuses on workforce leadership, workflow efficiency, service quality, and cross-department collaboration for both inpatient and outpatient services. The Director ensures the lab operates with high levels of staff engagement, patient satisfaction, and efficiency while supporting regulatory compliance and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead workforce management and development initiatives.
• Optimize workflow efficiency and service quality.
• Foster cross-department collaboration for inpatient and outpatient services.
• Ensure high levels of staff engagement and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

• Master’s degree.
• 5 years of clinical experience.
• 3 years of leadership experience.
• Knowledge of laboratory regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., CLIA, CAP, The Joint Commission).
• Proficiency in laboratory information systems (LIS) and healthcare technology, as applicable.
