Director of IT & Security, CISO

About the role

The Director of IT & Security, CISO will lead the security strategy and operations for a leading tech company. Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of security across all systems and data.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures
• Oversee incident response and crisis management
• Manage and mentor a team of security professionals
• Stay current with emerging threats and technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the business

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in IT security, with a focus on leadership roles
• Proven track record of successfully managing security operations and incident response
• Experience with security architecture, risk assessment, and compliance
• Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop a team
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• CISA, CISSP, or equivalent certifications
• Experience with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, firewalls, and encryption
