What You'll Do

  • Lead daily operations of IT infrastructure including networks, servers, cloud platforms, and hosted applications
  • Ensure high availability, performance, reliability, and security across all systems and services
  • Act as an escalation point for critical incidents, outages, and security events
  • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
  • Maintain accurate system documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
  • Direct security operations including threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response
  • Oversee endpoint, network, and cloud security controls and risk remediation
  • Manage and optimize tools such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and identity & access management systems
  • Support alignment with security and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, CMMC, NIST)
  • Develop, implement, and enforce IT operational policies, procedures, and standards
  • Implement and mature ITIL-based processes (incident, problem, change, configuration management)
  • Define, track, and report KPIs, SLAs, and operational performance metrics to senior leadership
  • Drive automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop infrastructure and security team members
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development support
  • Oversee Managed Service Providers (MSP), vendors, and third-party partners
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives

What You Bring

  • 8–12+ years of progressive IT experience, including 2–4+ years in a leadership or management role
  • Strong hands-on experience managing infrastructure operations in cloud, on-prem, or hybrid environments
  • Demonstrated experience with security operations, incident response, and vulnerability management
  • Deep technical knowledge of networking, systems administration, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Proven ability to lead high-pressure incident and outage response efforts
  • Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks (ITIL)
  • Experience developing operational policies, standards, and technical documentation
  • Ability to define, measure, and report operational performance metrics
