About the role

BAM Capital is seeking a Director of Investor Relations to manage and deepen relationships with current investors, oversee the development of investor-facing programs and initiatives, and lead a team responsible for delivering high-quality investor experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead ongoing relationships with current investors, ensuring consistent engagement and accurate context.
  • Build and own frameworks for identifying and re-engaging disengaged or under-communicated investors.
  • Handle complex or sensitive investor situations independently, maintaining relationships without escalation.
  • Maintain complete, accurate investor context in CRM systems.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each investor's investment history, capacity, timing, and goals, and proactively communicate relevant opportunities.
  • Design and own programs that improve investor experience, scalability, and measurability.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute initiatives with clear timelines, defined owners, and resolved dependencies.
  • Translate complex financial and operational information into clear, investor-appropriate language, ensuring accuracy.
  • Build and lead a high-accountability team with clear expectations for quality, judgment, and independence.
  • Measure success through specific milestones and metrics, such as the launch of new programs, declining recurring questions, improved re-engagement rates, and increased independence among team members.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in client-facing, high-accountability roles, preferably in private markets, wealth management, alternatives distribution, or institutional client services.
  • Demonstrated commercial instinct in a relationship context, understanding the difference between informational and investment conversations.
  • Proven ability to build and lead programs end-to-end, with clear ownership of outcomes.
  • Experience owning and improving structured client servicing workflows, defining standards, and reducing errors.
  • CRM discipline, keeping data current and using it to drive decisions.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team with both operational and relationship responsibilities.
  • Experience coordinating multi-step projects across functions.
  • Strong written communication skills, with final accountability for clarity and accuracy.

Pay

$105,000 - $120,000 USD

Schedule

This role operates in a professional office environment, in person. Routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets is required.
