Responsibilities
- Serves as a strategic partner to the senior leadership team, providing vision and leadership for business initiatives including development, revision, and implementation of IT objectives, goals, policies, products, procedures, and programs.
- Designs, implements, and oversees a comprehensive cybersecurity and loss mitigation strategy for the Company.
- Keeps current with industry trends in information technology and data security, conducting research, tracking developments, and analyzing IT performance and outcomes.
- Responsible for interfacing with cross-functional departments for training and educating staff on information security policies and procedures.
- Manages the IT Budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and investments.
- Develops, monitors, updates and communicates a disaster recovery plan for the business.
- Mentors and leads the IT team, who are responsible for strategic and tactical projects (infrastructure, end-user support and collaboration applications), to maximize productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Safeguards adequate records and prepares periodic reports to the Board of Directors as needed.
- Solves problems with networks and other computer systems.
- Oversees relationships and ongoing due diligence with technology vendors and service providers.
- Performs ongoing reviews of new and existing critical or high-risk vendors’ IT security programs.
- Ensures compliance with established information security policies and procedures and reports findings of such audits.

Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience in computer science or in related field.
Required Experience
- Medical device or life science industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing and building a global IT function in a public company.
- Experience managing and leading teams.
- Expertise in quality systems, data protection requirements including FDA requirements for data records and electronic signatures.
- Experience in both Cybersecurity and AI.
- Public company experience with a focus on SOX specifically Information Technology General and Access Controls.
- Expert level knowledge of financial systems (ERP, CRM, Planning) and business processes.
- Strong technical skills and experience with a variety of technologies and platforms.
- Experience developing and implementing IT strategies that align with business objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience managing IT budgets and allocating resources effectively.
- Experience negotiating enterprise level software contracts (Microsoft, Oracle, etc.).
- Ability to stay current on emerging technologies and make recommendations for adoption as appropriate.
