Director of Information Technology & Cybersecurity

About the role

The Director of Information Technology & Cybersecurity is a senior executive responsible for providing strategic leadership, oversight, and governance of the Agency’s information technology and cybersecurity programs. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position develops and implements long-term technology and cybersecurity strategies that align with organizational objectives, safeguard critical infrastructure and data assets, and support reliable, secure, and efficient business operations.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements long-term technology and cybersecurity strategies that align with organizational objectives.
• Safeguard critical infrastructure and data assets.
• Support reliable, secure, and efficient business operations.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between technology and business goals.
• Ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Manages cybersecurity risks and ensures effective incident response plans are in place.
• Oversees the implementation and maintenance of enterprise systems and applications.
• Provides guidance and mentorship to IT staff and partners with other departments to enhance overall IT capabilities.
• Maintains a big-picture focus on organizational objectives, risk management, and technology strategy.

Requirements

• Proven track record of leading complex IT and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive IT and cybersecurity strategies.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on organizational needs.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in IT and cybersecurity.
• Experience in managing a team of IT professionals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certifications preferred.
