  • Review and approve new or revised electrical designs, test methods, and installation procedures.
  • Ensure aerospace, defense, and industry standards are applied properly and that technical documentation is controlled and released correctly.
  • Recruit, coach, and mentor engineers; set clear expectations; create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Drive process improvements when a better way to work is identified.
  • Represent Electrical Engineering to senior leadership; support customer engagements and proposals; travel as needed to meet with customers and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least ten years of progressive engineering experience.
  • Five or more years managing engineers.
  • Deep knowledge of electrical engineering, including how design, development, testing, and documentation fit together.
  • Ability to make sound technical decisions when problems get complicated.
  • Clear communication in writing and in person.
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities without missing deadlines.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office and with travel.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (preferred).
  • Experience leading an electrical engineering department or similarly significant function.
  • Background in aerospace, defense, transportation, or another highly regulated environment.

Skills

  • Expertise with high‑voltage systems, electric propulsion, or energy storage in aerospace.
  • Experience applying aerospace standards to design and qualification.
  • Strategic thinking to align resources with company goals.
  • Trusted decision‑maker on technical calls.
  • Talent development and continuous improvement of team processes.
