DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

Under the direction of the Superintendent or designee, the Director of Human Resources provides leadership in developing, achieving, and maintaining the best possible programs and Human Resources services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate the administration of services for certificated and classified staff in accordance with the California Education Code Regulations, Board Policies, and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
• Supervise the translation of the District's personnel philosophy, goals, and objectives to benefit district employees.
• Administer various District Human Resources services, including:
  • Supporting and enhancing employer/employee relations
  • Negotiations
  • Staffing of the school
  • Knowledge of position control
  • Employee improvement programs
  • Evaluations
  • New teacher support programs
• Supervise and manage areas related to:
  • Risk management
  • Health insurance program
  • Employee safety
  • Workers’ compensation
  • OSHA compliance
  • Hazardous materials management and training
• Provide highly responsible and complex support to the Superintendent.
