DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

Responsibilities

• Directs human resource services for the Division in compliance with law, policy, and regulations to improve student achievement, enhance human assets, promote employee morale, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws as well as FCCPS' policies and regulations.
• Develops, implements, and maintains a human resources program including:
  • Recruitment, selection, and retention of employees
  • Employee relations
  • Benefits and compensation
  • Placement and evaluation of division personnel
  • Employee counseling, development, and professional growth
  • Internal employee communication
• Recommends changes in policy and practice based on legal requirements pertaining to Division operations and functions.

Requirements

• Possess at least a bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred).
• A minimum of five years of progressively more responsible experience in Human Resource Management or a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of effective human resources principles, best practices, and trends.

Physical Requirements

• Sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with others via telephone and in-person, including the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle, or feel objects and controls.
• Physical capability to use office equipment such as computers, calculators, copiers, fax machines, and projection/video devices.
• Ability to engage in significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, or repetitive motions.

Pay

Salary Lane: L6 (FCCPS Salary Scales).
