Director of Human Resources

Responsibilities

• Serve as a supportive leader to a dedicated HR team, including the Compliance & Benefits Manager and Talent Acquisition Supervisor
• Partner with executive leadership to align HR initiatives with organizational goals
• Foster employee engagement, accountability, and a positive company culture
• Oversee employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and HR best practices
• Standardize and optimize existing HR workflows across departments
• Build strong working relationships through thoughtful communication, trust, and collaboration
• Support recruiting strategies, evaluate complex background checks, and ensure hiring practices align with company standards and values
• Partner with the Business Manager to support payroll and billing processes
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, workers’ compensation claims, ACA/401k administration, and internal HR policies
• Provide timely, clear, and actionable HR guidance and updates to leadership and staff

Requirements

• 3+ years of HR leadership experience
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to own projects with clear executive support while collaborating closely with leadership and team members
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• SHRM certification preferred
• Experience with HRIS systems and payroll processing preferred
