Director of HR- Full Time

SUMMARY: The Director of Human Resources is responsible for managing the Museum’s human resources operations, ensuring effective administration of HR policies, programs, and procedures in support of the Museum’s mission and organizational goals. This position oversees recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, compliance, training, and employee engagement. The Director works collaboratively with department leadership to support staffing needs, maintain regulatory compliance, and promote a positive, professional, and inclusive workplace environment. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, Masters preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive human resources experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role. Experience in a nonprofit, museum, educational, or similar organization preferred. Strong working knowledge of federal and Florida employment laws, HR policies, employee relations, benefits administration, and payroll practices. Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and effectively manage multiple priorities.
