Director of Housekeeping
About the Role
Manage and supervise the housekeeping, pool, and public area operations ensuring quality guest services while maintaining operating expenses and meeting budgeted guidelines. Coordinate with management and other department heads to develop and implement housekeeping preventative maintenance and quality control programs. Assist with hotel property inspections of the building’s interior and exterior and compliance with safety standards. Perform administrative duties including employee scheduling, payroll documentation, assignment of duties, occupancy forecasts, linen inventories, and employee evaluations and counseling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Degree in Travel Industry Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable job knowledge and skills can be acquired)
- 3 years supervisory and operational experience with housekeeping operations
Pay
Base pay starts at $85,000–$91,000, with potential for a higher salary based on factors such as applicant skill, experience, and education.
