Director of Housekeeping

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Director of Housekeeping to lead a high-performing team dedicated to creating immaculate guest experiences. This dynamic leader will oversee all housekeeping operations, champion quality standards, inspire team engagement, and ensure every guest room and public space reflects the highest levels of cleanliness, comfort, and hospitality excellence.

Positioned as one of the Key Rooms Division Leaders, this role offers the opportunity to:

• Be in a leadership role while also hands-on delivering a quality product and experience, playing a significant role in guest satisfaction.
• Serve as a key member of the Leadership team, liaising with all department heads across the hotel, including Operations, Sales, Culinary, Engineering, and Front Office.

• Balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
• Effectively managing the budget, capital expenditure projects, and preventative maintenance.
• Developing cohesion with direct reports and maximizing productivity by providing continuous career development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure brand training compliance for you and your staff within the first 30 days.
• Develop a program to increase employee recognition within the first 60 days.
• Develop and implement a successful full facility preventive maintenance program within the first 90 days.
• Develop a formal inspection checklist to ensure quality and consistency across all rooms within the first 60 days.
• Work with the Assistant Housekeeping Manager to implement a training plan for new hires within the first 90 days.
• Review all Brand standards to ensure compliance with brand requirements within the first 60 days.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years’ experience in housekeeping.
• 2 years’ experience as a supervisor/manager in housekeeping with a track record of team success.
• Basic computer skills, including navigating databases, spreadsheets, email management, and electronic SOPs.
• Strong cultural fit with a passion for hospitality, drive, and results-orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hotel Brand experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Experience with hotel information systems.
