Responsibilities
- prepping, scanning, analysis, quality control, assembly/loose filing (paper hospitals only)
- release of information
- medical record destruction (EHR only)
- documentation and medical record delinquency compliance auditing and reporting
- along with data management
Requirements
- Graduate of Health Information Management program with subsequent passing of the registry examination (RHIA) or accreditation (RHIT), but not required.
- 1-3 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a Health Information Management Department is preferred.
