Director of Health Information Management (HIM) | Aiken Rehab

About the role

Join PAM Health Aiken’s brand-new rehabilitation hospital opening this fall and help shape the future of patient care from the beginning. This role is responsible for the overall management of inpatient and outpatient medical records and health information processes including prepping, scanning, analysis, quality control, assembly/loose filing (paper hospitals only), release of information, medical record destruction (EHR only), documentation and medical record delinquency compliance auditing and reporting, along with data management. The Director of Health Information Management ensures consistency with HIM policies and procedures set forth by PAM, accrediting, and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Health Information Management program with subsequent passing of the registry examination (RHIA) or accreditation (RHIT), though this is not required.
• 1-3 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a Health Information Management Department is preferred.
