Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to clinical care.
  • Collects, analyzes, and reports on occurrence trends and develops/implements improvement plans.
  • Partners with the Administrator and other team members to maintain resident and team member health and safety.
  • Collaborates with the pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents.
  • Provides clinical expertise for licensed nurses and assists with educational presentations as needed.
  • Identifies and addresses ongoing needs and services for residents through the assessment/Service Plan process, including documentation for residents with changes in health care status.
  • Serves as a liaison between the community and residents' families or responsible parties regarding changes in care or health concerns.
  • Maintains communication with the Business Office regarding fee changes related to care needs.
  • Schedules clinical staff on a monthly basis and ensures adequate clinical supplies are available.
  • Participates in a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Supervises LPNs and CNAs to ensure consistent high-quality care for residents.
  • Communicates with residents' families and/or responsible parties regarding changes in care or health concerns.
  • Participates in community awareness activities and community relations.
  • Ensures the resident’s service plan is updated as required by state regulations.
  • Partners with other department coordinators to identify and discuss potential changes in service/medication levels if applicable.
  • Manages the monthly updates and reports any pertinent changes to the responsible party.
  • Ensures adequate clinical supplies are available.
  • Participates in a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing; Registered Nurse preferred.
  • One (1) year in a nursing leadership role; Senior Living experience preferred.
  • BSL Certification.
