Director of Grounds - Healthcare Campus

About the role

The Director of Grounds is responsible for overseeing all grounds maintenance activities at the healthcare campus. This includes landscaping, irrigation, snow removal, and facility upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the aesthetic appeal of the campus grounds through strategic landscaping and design.
• Ensure all grounds are safe and accessible for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the campus irrigation system.
• Manage and coordinate the snow removal process during winter months.
• Oversee facility maintenance tasks such as painting, masonry work, and carpentry.
• Work closely with the facilities management team to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in grounds management or similar field.
• Proven ability to manage a team and delegate tasks effectively.
• Strong knowledge of landscape design principles and horticultural practices.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with landscaping software and tools.
