About the role

As the Director of Grants and Contracts, you will lead the organization's grant and contract management efforts, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and fostering strong relationships with funders and partners. You will oversee the development and execution of grant strategies, manage the procurement process, and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive grant strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Oversee the procurement process, including vendor selection and contract negotiation
  • Manage financial reporting and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Foster strong relationships with funders and partners to secure new funding opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between grants and other strategic initiatives
  • Monitor and analyze grant performance metrics to inform decision-making

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in grants management or a related field
  • Proven track record of successful grant writing and management
  • Experience managing complex procurement processes
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferred
  • Experience working in a non-profit or public sector environment
  • Knowledge of federal and state grant programs and regulations
  • Experience with project management methodologies
