Director of Grants and Compliance
Job Summary
Women Aware, Inc. is seeking an experienced Director of Grants and Compliance to oversee grant management, compliance reporting, and funding oversight. This role ensures all grant-related activities are accurate, timely, and compliant with funding requirements and regulations.
Responsibilities
Oversee compliance monitoring, audits, and reporting processes
Manage Grants Department and supervise Grants Manager
Ensure compliance with grant requirements and GAAP standards
Manage full grant lifecycle: proposal, budgeting, tracking, reporting, and closeout
Serve as liaison with funding agencies and program leadership
Identify and pursue new grant opportunities
Support cross-functional collaboration with Finance and program teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred)
Minimum 3 years of grant writing and management experience
Strong writing, analytical, and budgeting skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs

Legal Advocate
Women Aware, Inc. is seeking a compassionate, organized, and dedicated Legal Advocate to join our Family Justice Center team. This position plays a critical role in supporting survivors of domestic violence by providing advocacy, safety planning, court accompaniment, supportive counseling, and referrals to community resources.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
3 years experienced in domestic violence counseling and/or other direct services
Knowledge of Criminal Justice a plus
Good communication and writing skills
Bilingual Hindi, Urdu or Spanish preferred
Family Justice Center Intake Specialist
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Family Justice Center Intake Specialist to join our team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients seeking assistance, providing empathetic support and guiding them through our services.
Qualifications
Full Time, M-F, evenings as needed
BA/BS in the social services field
Domestic Violence experience, preferred
Excellent crisis intervention, case management, and organization skills required
Bilingual-Spanish required
PALS Advocate
This job description is a broad outline of the responsibilities and duties of the PALS Advocate and will be amended as needed to meet the program priorities of Women Aware, Inc. Child Advocate
In Collaboration With The Coordinator Of Residential Services, The Position Carries The Responsibility For Providing Supportive Service To Residential Victims Of Domestic Violence. This Includes, But Is Not Limited To, The Following:
Provide a safe, non-judgmental, and empowering environment to clients
Facilitate childcare and educational activities
Coordinate services on behalf of children in a domestic violence shelter
Work collaboratively with Agency staff in order to facilitate comprehensive services

Childcare/Education experience preferred
Bilingual Spanish preferred
