Director of Global Operations
Principal Responsibilities
- Develop and manage operations leadership team capable of carrying out needed operations strategies while improving employee relations and retention.
- Assure master production schedule is coordinated with all support departments and integrated with the overall company's transaction/volume expectations.
- Oversee operations budget & work with Finance Controllers to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements.
- Set and achieve monthly SQDIP performance targets and use KPIs to evaluate performance.
- Led deployment of visual management, A3 problem solving, Standard Work, Kaizen, and 5S.
- Harmonize operational systems across sites and support implementation of SAP.
- Ensure compliance with regulations.
- Interpret and administer company policies and/or union contract as they apply to department/area activities.
- Drive safety and engagement improvements.
- Ensure operations support growth initiatives.
Key Competencies
- Candidate should be able to work across multiple departments to identify and implement optimal solutions for the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to lead projects across multiple functional areas are essential.
- Ability to handle multiple critical projects concurrently and re-order priorities regularly as business needs fluctuate and change.
- Experience with quality standards such as ISO 9001.
- Excellent management / leadership aptitude.
- Innovative problem-solver, analytical thinker.
- Motivated self-starter.
Knowledge
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or related field.
- 7+ years of manufacturing or operations leadership experience.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Leverage Lean systems experience preferred.
- ERP experience (Oracle 11i or SAP).
- Multi-site leadership experience.
- Global leadership exposure.
Priorities
- Familiarity with industrial equipment design, assembly, maintenance, production, or manufacturing type environment.
- Experience with project / program management.
- Experience with low volume / high customization products.
Work Environment/Travel
- This role is on-site at our Mooresville solution center with regular presence and periodic travel to other IR manufacturing locations.
- Travel up to 20%.
