Director of Front Office - Grand
Overview
The Director of Front Office at The Davenport Grand Hotel must demonstrate a commitment to customer service by soliciting and responding promptly to guest needs. They are responsible for ensuring Front Office staff, including new hires, are trained to meet standards of each component. They empower department staff to deliver exceptional customer service, meeting or exceeding budgeted profit and margin of the department. They prepare annual departmental budgets that accurately reflect the hotel's operations plan. They manage human resources functions such as recruiting, selection, orientation, training, performance reviews, pay and recognition programs to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
Responsibilities
- Show college level reasoning, math, and language skills.
- Have two years prior departmental management experience in front office or related disciplines.
- Manage time and negotiate effectively.
- Lead each discipline of the department independently.
- Comply with employment and Innkeeper laws of the jurisdiction.
- Have prior cash handling experience.
- Communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
- Read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Have computer experience.
