Director of FP&A

Vaco by Highspring · Dallas, TX · 1 wk ago
On-siteFinance$75/hrFull-time

Vaco is partnering with a fast-growing, private equity-backed multi-location services company with revenue ranging from approximately $75M-$250M. The organization is experiencing significant growth and is building out its finance organization to support its next stage of expansion. This is an opportunity to join a high-growth environment where the Director of FP&A will have significant visibility across the organization and a clear path to increased scope and leadership responsibility. The current CFO, for example, joined the organization in a VP-level capacity and has progressed into the CFO role.

About the role

The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and hands-on operator—someone who can build the FP&A infrastructure while also rolling up their sleeves to analyze the business, solve problems, and influence decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the consolidated FP&A function, including annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial modeling
  • Own and continuously enhance the company's multi-year operating model, growth targets, and financial outlook
  • Develop long-range forecasts and cash flow forecasts to provide leadership with clear visibility into future performance and liquidity
  • Perform sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling to evaluate potential business outcomes and risks
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute the company's strategic financial plan
  • Produce consolidated financial reporting, dashboards, and management reporting packages
  • Utilize large and complex data sets to improve forecasting, decision-making, automation, and overall business performance
  • Serve as a trusted financial partner to divisional leaders and operational leadership
  • Partner closely with Accounting, Operations, and other cross-functional leaders to understand business performance and drive results
  • Partner closely with the private equity sponsor, CFO, and executive leadership team
  • Prepare and deliver recurring and ad hoc financial analysis for the PE group
  • Assist with the development of Board presentations and financial reporting packages
  • Provide analysis around financial performance, growth initiatives, KPIs, cash flow, and other areas of interest to ownership

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis experience, with increasing responsibility
  • Experience leading or significantly contributing to a consolidated FP&A function
  • Private equity-backed company experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience within a multi-location, multi-unit, services, or similarly operationally complex business preferred
  • Experience in an organization with approximately $75M-$250M in revenue is highly desirable
  • Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial modeling, and cash flow forecasting

Pay

$165-185K base salary plus 20% bonus.

Schedule

Onsite in Dallas, TX for 4-6 months, transitioning to hybrid afterward.
