Core Responsibilities
- Supports assigned MD in meeting or exceeding the defined annual budget for the entire practice area/practice division (including revenue generation, overall utilization of assigned resources, and execution of profitable engagement work streams that may be either qualitative or quantitative in nature).
- Sets and supports development of new accounts and retains and expands existing engagements within the practice area to achieve sales goals.
- Delegates assignments to assigned direct reports, instructs and monitors progress, and ensures work product is consistently high quality.
- Maintains and fosters relationships with decision makers within existing key/strategic accounts and cross-sells other service areas.
- Meets or exceeds defined individual average utilization goals (and incorporates consideration of individual revenue targets) as set forth by company leadership.
- Manages and develops a team of direct reports focused on attracting, placing, and growing the assigned practice team members, with emphasis on creating a team and culture that is empowered to execute.
- Leads and manages in a manner that inspires and encourages goal achievement through empowerment, learning, and creativity among the team.
- Provides leadership in a manner that models the Company’s core values and inspires and encourages goal achievement through empowerment, learning, and creativity among the team.
- Supports MD in monitoring relevant data such as utilization, Accounts Receivable, discretionary spending, etc.
- Establishes and drives towards defined objectives and key results (OKRs) for the team.
- Identifies potential new market segments and alerts MD for evaluations and consideration.
- Travels as necessary to support client, employee, and leadership needs.
- Ensures compliance of operations with all local, state and Federal (and International, if applicable) regulations, as well as compliance with company policy.
- Ensures consistent high quality on deliverables for the practice.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, science or engineering field (i.e.: Engineering, Environmental Science, Construction Management, Biology, Geology, etc.) or other advanced degrees as called for in area of specialization.
- Minimum of 10 years’ industry experience.
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a senior leader of a division or department, including responsibility for financial performance and experience leading service-oriented teams in a related industry.
- Proactively takes steps to begin individual revenue generation.
- Prominent track record of customer relationship management and staff management and development.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Experience in providing reliable work product review for technical deliverables.
- Able to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with co-workers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Able to provide oversight and direction to assigned staff.
- Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Develops increased emotional intelligence to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Able to handle multiple priorities and perform consistently and positively under high stress conditions.
- Knowledge of computer operations and standard software packages (word processing, spreadsheets, Adobe).

- The Salary Ranges For This Role Are As Follows:
- $161,000.00 - $386,000.00 USD annually (Geographical Tier A - Sample Locations: Irvine CA, Middlesex NJ, Tacoma WA, Boston, Alexandria)
- $147,000.00 - $354,000.00 USD annually (Geographical Tier B - Sample Locations - Baltimore, Chicago, Anchorage, Portland)
- $134,000.00 - $322,000.00 USD annually (Geographical Tier C - Sample Locations - Atlanta, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Miami)
- $128,000.00 - $307,000.00 USD annually (Geographical Tier D - Sample Locations - Mississippi, Mobile AL, Bowling Green KY, Tulsa)
