Description Summary of Position
As the Director of Mechanical Engineering supporting our Architecture and Engineering business unit, you are responsible for leading, coordinating, and overseeing all activities, projects, and personnel within the mechanical engineering discipline. This role also focuses on business development strategies, sales forecasting, and the financial and operational management for the mechanical engineering team. 35% travel expected local and nationally to meet team and clients. Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical engineering consulting process, identifying the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong relationships, effective communication, and the delivery of exceptional service to clients.
- Participate in business development efforts, including attending marketing functions, industry events, and cross marketing with other offices.
- Oversee initial program investigations to assess feasibility and requirements.
- Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with clients and sub-consultants.
- Manage and provide leadership to Program Managers.
- Ensure project timelines are met and effectively communicated back to clients.
- Analyze data to support decision-making and implement best practices aligned with key performance indicators and company goals.
- Mentor, develop, and support staff, fostering professional growth and team performance.
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
- Licensed P.E. required.
- 15+ years of mechanical engineering project and/or program management experience within the A/E/C environment, preferably with commercial programs such as retail or restaurants.
- Previous firm leadership a must—manage and mentor of junior staff.
- 8+ years of supervisory experience.
- MS Office required, familiar with AutoCAD and Revit a plus.

This is a Permanent position based out of West Chester, PA.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150,000.00 - $200,000.00/yr.
