About the role
The Director of Food Services is to plan, develop and direct the activities/operations of the food service department. He/She is responsible for food service standards, policy and procedure, food service staff, equipment, systems and work areas, while providing high quality of food service for residents in a cost-effective manner.
The Director of Food Services is responsible for decisions regarding food service activities, directs and consults with the Registered Dietician, and/or other resources as necessary and/or appropriate.
Responsibilities
The Director of Food Services will be responsible for the overall management of the food service department.
Requirements
- May be required to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be free from contagious diseases and/or conditions which may be passed via food or food service.
- May be required to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must have communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to permit the full performance of the duties of the position.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must be a Certified Dietary Manager.
- At least 3 years clinical nutrition/or food service experience.
- Previous experience with MDS and Care Plans required.
- Previous experience working with the long term care service management is preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Computer skills and ability to learn new software programs.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal guidelines and requirements is desirable.
Pay
The hiring range for this position is $60,000 - $85,000, Pay Band: 4.
