About the role

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences seeks a Director of Food and Beverage to lead the Food & Beverage division. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading strategic plans for growth, profitability, and brand alignment
  • Collaborating with hotel leadership to execute operational priorities
  • Recruiting, developing, and managing F&B managers and team members
  • Driving financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and revenue optimization
  • Maintaining operational efficiencies and guest/employee experience
  • Developing and implementing restaurant concepts, managing external partnerships, and overseeing licensee agreements
  • Ensuring adherence to Four Seasons service standards, culture, and brand expectations
  • Promoting employee engagement, development, and career progression
  • Contributing to long-term hotel initiatives and aligning F&B division as a key driver of success

What You'll Do

Provide leadership and direction for the Food & Beverage Division by:

  • Developing and executing strategic plans
  • Collaborating with hotel leadership
  • Leading recruitment, development, and performance management of F&B managers and team members
  • Driving financial performance through strong business acumen
  • Maintaining operational efficiencies and enhancing the guest and employee experience
  • Evolving the division by leading innovative restaurant and bar concepts
  • Building and managing strategic relationships with celebrity chefs and external partners
  • Serving as the lead for restaurant concept development
  • Designing and implementing high-quality, sustainable menus, wine programs, and signature offerings
  • Ensuring full adherence to Four Seasons service standards, culture, and brand expectations
  • Promoting employee engagement, development, and career progression within the division
  • Actively contributing to the Planning Committee

What You Bring

  • College degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Previous Director of Food & Beverage experience preferred, with a minimum of 5–7 years in luxury hotel or resort operations—specifically within a multi-outlet Food & Beverage environment
  • Proven financial acumen, including experience managing divisional P&L, budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and revenue-driving strategies
  • Demonstrated experience leading or launching restaurant concepts, with strong creative and commercial instincts
  • Experience working with celebrity chefs and managing external partnerships or licensee agreements preferred
  • Strong operational knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, systems, and luxury service standards
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead diverse, high-performing teams
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Proven ability to multitask while maintaining strategic focus and operational excellence
  • Strong business ethics and a demonstrated commitment to leading with integrity
  • Hands-on leadership style with a visible presence in the operation and a focus on guest relationship building
  • Experience in forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning at a divisional level
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and quality in partnership with culinary and stewarding teams
  • Ability to lead in alignment with Four Seasons Brand and Philosophy

What To Expect

  • A flexible schedule that includes mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
  • A strong presence on the floor by actively engaging with guests, recognizing returning patrons, and building relationships with new guests through personalized service and marketing efforts
  • Partnering closely with the General Manager and Planning Committee to develop and refine menus, wine lists, and amenity offerings, ensuring high-quality products are delivered at a fair and competitive price
  • Moving throughout the property during your shift, navigating restaurants, bars, lounges, and other hotel spaces to oversee operations and support both guests and team members
  • Utilizing standard office and POS systems to manage daily administrative tasks, while clearly communicating with guests, clients, and colleagues to ensure a seamless and elevated experience
