Director of Financial Reporting

About the role

A leading nonprofit healthcare system in Northern New Jersey is seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of its Accounting department on a system‑wide basis. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with operational, clinical, and executive leadership in a complex healthcare organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide system‑wide leadership and day‑to‑day management of the Accounting department.
• Work with department heads, clinical leaders, and the Executive Team to communicate financial information and support organizational needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
• Minimum of five years of healthcare experience.
• Prior management experience (preferred).
• CPA certification (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and computer‑based accounting and information systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to leaders without a financial background.
• Professional presence and ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Pay

$150,000–$180,000 annually
