Director of Finance & Donor Development - Zion's Hope

About the Role

The Director of Finance will oversee all aspects of Accounting and Finance for the Ministry, collaborating closely with the President and Director of Operations. This role ensures a fiscally responsible approach across all financial areas and advances donor engagement with the ministry.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission and message of Zion’s Hope.
• Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments.
• Supervise accounting staff and oversee the finances in all areas of the ministry.
• Work in cooperation with Zion’s Hope external auditors and follow generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for nonprofit organizations.
• Review and manage the preparation of all monthly and annual reports, including financial statements, payroll returns, and other financial documents, as necessary.
• Oversee compliance in all areas of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement benefits, and payroll regulations.
• Seek and discover fundraising opportunities aligned with Zion’s Hope Ministry objectives and values.
• Research and pursue financing solutions that meet ministry goals.
• Assist with other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
