We are partnering with a high-growth financial services organization to hire a Director of FP&A during an exciting period of investment and expansion.
About the role
This is a highly visible, hands-on strategic finance role working closely with the CFO and senior executive leadership. The position goes well beyond traditional budgeting and reporting, with significant involvement in financial modeling, forecasting, capital management, valuation, strategic initiatives, and executive decision support.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models supporting forecasting, strategic planning, capital decisions, and business initiatives
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and scenario analysis
- Analyze financial performance and translate complex results into actionable recommendations for senior leadership
- Evaluate strategic opportunities, investments, transactions, reinsurance structures, and capital deployment decisions
- Perform valuation, pricing, return, and sensitivity analyses
- Partner closely with the CFO and other senior leaders on key business initiatives
- Prepare executive-level presentations and support interactions with external stakeholders
- Lead complex analytical projects from concept through execution
- Mentor junior finance professionals while remaining highly hands-on in the analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field
- 10+ years of experience within FP&A, strategic finance, corporate development, or from Big 4 or advisory firms with significant life insurance, annuity, or reinsurance experience
- Advanced financial modeling, quantitative analysis, and Excel skills
- Ability to independently manage complex projects and communicate effectively with senior leadership
Qualifications
CFA, CPA, FSA, MBA, as well as experience with Power BI, SQL, Microsoft Fabric, or similar analytics platforms, are all considered strong pluses.
