About the role
The Director of Finance will lead the financial operations of Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic, Inc., ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles and strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Oversee financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Manage the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the annual audit process and work closely with external auditors.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on financial goals and strategies.
- Provide strategic financial advice to senior management and make recommendations for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years leading a finance team.
- A CPA certification is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and board members.
- Experience working in a non-profit environment is highly desirable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with financial systems and software, such as QuickBooks, Oracle, or SAP.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with financial modeling and budgeting.

Pay
Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually.
