Director of Finance

About the role

The Director of Finance will lead the financial operations of Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic, Inc., ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Manage the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the annual audit process and work closely with external auditors.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on financial goals and strategies.
• Provide strategic financial advice to senior management and make recommendations for cost savings and revenue enhancement.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years leading a finance team.
• A CPA certification is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and board members.
• Experience working in a non-profit environment is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with financial systems and software, such as QuickBooks, Oracle, or SAP.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with financial modeling and budgeting.

Pay

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually.
