Director of Finance
Location: Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living, Ashburn, VA – a 132-acre continuing care retirement community home to more than 2,000 residents and part of a growing national network managed by Erickson Senior Living, one of the country’s largest and most respected providers of senior living and health care.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Finance to join the Executive Leadership Team at Ashby Ponds. This high-visibility executive opportunity offers the chance to shape financial strategy, drive performance, and influence critical business decisions across a large, multifaceted operation. As a trusted advisor to executive and operational leaders, you will provide financial insight that supports growth, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability in a mission-driven organization with a strong culture and robust resources.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership and oversight for the community
- Establish and maintain strong accounting controls and efficient financial processes
- Lead the analysis and interpretation of financial results, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
- Partner with operations to support business decisions and financial performance
- Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure regulatory alignment
- Identify and help mitigate business and enterprise risks
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that support effective financial operations
- Coach, develop, and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of growth and continuous learning
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years in a related/similar industry with at least the last 5+ years in a management/supervisory role
- CPA is a plus
- Critical thinking ability required; must be able to evaluate and solve complex problems and issues

Pay
$135,000 - $150,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.
