Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred.

  • 12+ years of progressive finance experience spanning both controllership and FP&A.
  • Demonstrated ownership of a full month-end and year-end close.
  • Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, or wholesale/retail distribution.
  • Multi-entity, multi-currency experience; international or global finance coordination a strong plus.
  • Strong ERP proficiency (SAP or equivalent), advanced Excel, and BI/reporting tools.
  • Proven leadership of accounting and FP&A teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at the executive level.

About the role

Own the integrity of North America accounting operations and the general ledger.

Personally oversee month-end and year-end close, supported by the accounting managers.

Lead the accounting managers, who continue to report into this role.

Direct the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring timely, accurate cash application and collections.

Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and GAAP compliance.

Own external audit and tax relationships, coordinating filings and information requests.

FP&A Leadership

  • Lead the FP&A function and manage the FP&A manager.
  • Own the annual budget, quarterly reforecasts, and rolling forecasts.
  • Build and maintain the financial models that drive the North America business.
  • Deliver monthly variance analysis, KPIs, and management reporting.
  • Forecasting and Cash Flow
    • Own cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
    • Optimize the cash cycle across receivables, inventory, and payables.
    • Provide leadership with a reliable, forward-looking view of liquidity and performance.

Strategic Finance and Capital Allocation

  • Partner with leadership on multi-year strategic planning.
  • Lead investment modeling and business case development for new initiatives, channels, and markets.
  • Own capital allocation recommendations, ROI analysis, and prioritization of spend.

Pricing

  • Lead pricing strategy and margin analysis across the product portfolio.
  • Provide the financial framework for list pricing, promotions, and trade spend.
  • Quantify the P&L impact of pricing and mix decisions.

Business Partnership

  • Serve as the finance partner to Sales, Operations, Marketing, and HR.
  • Translate financial insight into operational decisions and clear tradeoffs.
  • Bring commercial discipline to growth, cost, and margin conversations.

Executive and Board Reporting

  • Prepare board-level financial reporting and executive dashboards.
  • Present results, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Distill complex financials into a clear narrative for decision-makers.

Global Finance Relationships

  • Coordinate with global finance and headquarters on reporting, consolidation, intercompany, and transfer pricing.
  • Ensure North America accounting and reporting align with global policy and standards.
  • Represent the North America business in global finance discussions.
