Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, audit coordination, and regulatory compliance
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, balancing day-to-day execution with strategic priorities
- Assess and improve financial systems and workflows, including automation and integration initiatives
- Collaborate with executive leadership and the Board on budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and the Finance Committee
- Provide financial insight and cross-functional support, including partnership with HR and facilities
Qualifications
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, etc.
- 5+ years accounting experience within non-profit or mission-driven organization
- Management/leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting practices and systems
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and board members
