Position Title: Director of Finance Salary Range: $80,000–$100,000 / Year, DOE Turn financial leadership into meaningful community impact. This Director of Finance will lead the financial operations of a long-standing nonprofit serving individuals with developmental disabilities, people seeking behavioral health support, and those experiencing homelessness. Reporting to the CEO/CFO and serving on the Senior Leadership Team, this role will oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow, compliance, and grant-related financial operations across a complex $17M organization with three distinct service divisions. The ideal candidate is an experienced finance leader who combines strong technical expertise with a collaborative, coaching-focused leadership style. They must be comfortable holding a seasoned team accountable while giving them the support and autonomy to succeed and, most importantly, genuinely connect with the organization’s mission and values. Responsibilities Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management across multiple programs and service divisionsProvide direct leadership and guidance to the Financial Controller, Accounting Manager, and grant-related finance functionsLead monthly close and financial review meetings, ensuring accurate reporting and clear visibility into organizational and program performanceAnalyze and present monthly and annual financial statements to leadership, program directors, the Finance Committee, and Board of DirectorsMaintain strong internal controls, accounting policies and financial procedures while ensuring compliance with GAAP and funding requirementsOversee annual operating and capital planning, external audits and financial reporting to grantors and funding sourcesPartner with senior leadership and department directors to evaluate budgets, allocate resources, manage risk and support strategic initiatives Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field10+ years of progressive finance experience5+ years of supervisory or senior management experience leading experienced accounting and finance professionalsStrong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, and financial analysisExperience with Sage Intacct required, with Solver and Paycom experience strongly preferredStrong analytical skills with the ability to use financial data and metrics to guide decisionsCollaborative leadership style with a commitment to coaching, accountability, and the organization’s mission Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage403(b) retirement plan eligibility after six monthsPaid vacation with additional vacation available after the first yearUp to 12 accrued sick/personal days annually with rollover availability11 paid holidays If you are ready to lead finance at a high level while putting your expertise behind work that directly strengthens a community, apply today!
