Director of Faith Formation and Evangelization

About the role

The Parish of St. Joseph is seeking a full-time professional to lead Religious Education, with a focus on innovative programs and whole-family catechesis.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and respond to the educational and catechetical needs of a multicultural parish
• Recruit, form, and support catechists
• Implement and oversee programs including Whole Family Catechesis, Children’s Liturgy of the Word, and sacramental preparation (Baptism to Full Initiation, OCIA, OCIC, OICA, Quinceañera)
• Manage Faith Formation programs, including evening and weekend support
• Collaborate with other Pastoral Ministers
• Utilize Microsoft Office, ECatholic/Flocknote, and Formation Office Management Programs
• Maintain proficiency with social media platforms

Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Religious Education or Theology
• At least five years of experience in innovative religious education programs and process implementation
• Personal commitment to the teachings and life of the Roman Catholic Church
• Strong written and communication skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Pay

$45,000 to $50,000 per year.
