Job Summary

Housing: On-campus apartment required above the facilities maintenance shop.

Mission: Lead integrated facilities management for a historic K–12 campus with a focus on safety, reliability, and service.

Team leadership

Lead and mentor trades and custodial teams to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming campus.

Stakeholder partnership

Build strong relationships with school leadership, faculty, and staff through proactive communication and responsive service.

Operations

Oversee preventive maintenance, capital planning, custodial services, grounds, vendors, and project execution.

Systems

Use Building Automation Systems, with Trane preferred, to troubleshoot and improve performance.

Budget

Manage budgets, vendor contracts, and identify cost-effective and sustainable solutions.

Campus support

Coordinate facilities support for events, seasonal needs, and long-term planning.

Safety and compliance

Ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment across all facilities functions.

Construction oversight

Oversee construction and renovations as needed.

Additional services

May manage logistics and services such as grounds, laundry, food, security, inventory, mail, or concierge.

Minimum qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of integrated facilities management leadership.
  • Sector experience: Experience running a comprehensive facilities program in a school or campus setting.
  • Technical skills: Mechanical systems and Client experience with a hands-on approach.
  • People leadership: Proven ability to develop and inspire high-performing facilities teams.
  • Single-site leadership: Experience directing facilities operations for building(s) and property at a single unit.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong relationship building.
  • Residence: Willing to live in the on-campus apartment above the maintenance shop.
