Position: 👥 📋 Director of Environmental Services 📋 👥 Location: Onsite at Taylor Regional Hospital, Kentucky Schedule: Full-time | Days 📋Day-to-Day Responsibilities ◉ Direct and oversee all Environmental Services operations, including staffing, scheduling, departmental goals, and performance. ◉ Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate team members while promoting accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional service. ◉ Conduct departmental meetings and provide ongoing staff education. ◉ Oversee daily cleaning, disinfection, floor care, linen services, and waste management throughout the hospital and affiliated facilities. ◉ Collaborate with Infection Control to maintain safe, sanitary environments and reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections. ◉ Monitor cleaning effectiveness through inspections, audits, and quality improvement initiatives. ◉ Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, CDC, EPA, state regulations, and hospital policies. ◉ Maintain survey readiness, required documentation, and corrective action plans. ◉ Promote workplace safety, proper chemical handling, emergency preparedness, and safe equipment operation. ◉ Develop and manage departmental budgets, supplies, inventory, and equipment purchases. ◉ Monitor expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure efficient use of resources. ◉ Work closely with hospital leadership, Infection Control, and other departments to address environmental needs. ◉ Respond promptly to patient, visitor, and team member concerns. ◉ Participate in hospital committees, strategic planning, and organizational improvement initiatives. 🎓Education And Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required3-4+ yrs experience required2-3+ yrs management experience required 🔑-----Job Demands------ Requires frequent walking, standing, and movement throughout the hospital and affiliated facilities. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and lifting or moving supplies and equipment may be required.Requires strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities, manage stressful situations, and respond to unexpected departmental needs.Requires effective verbal and written communication with team members, hospital leadership, patients, visitors, and regulatory personnel.Frequent exposure to healthcare environments, cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, odors, noise, and potentially infectious materials.
