Director of Environmental Services

About the Role

The Director of Environmental Services is primarily responsible for management and supervision of the maintenance, dietary, and housekeeping staff.

Responsibilities

• Develops departmental standards of performance in accordance with all required guidelines to ensure compliance and provide an optimal environment.
• Establishes and implements preventive maintenance, dietary standards, and housekeeping programs to meet licensing, code, and safety requirements.
• Oversees a wide variety of skilled maintenance, dietary, laundry, janitorial, and housekeeping duties in and around the facility.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Combination of education and work experience equivalent to some trade school plus three years’ experience in related general maintenance, preferably in an institutional setting.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervision experience.
• Knowledge of how to safely operate various power tools.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Must have liability insurance when driving a personal vehicle for company business.
