Director of Engineering, AI Security

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery, working across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions.

The position is remote, open to US-based candidates only, with no visa sponsorship available, and offers a compensation of $150,000 – $180,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a multi-team engineering organization focused on AI security
• Define and drive the engineering roadmap for AI security platform
• Lead cross-functional teams on agent discovery, identity, and integrations
• Make key architectural and technical decisions for the platform
• Collaborate with product and field teams to validate platform developments
• Ensure technology scalability from early deployment to production compliance

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering with leadership experience
• Proven track record of building and scaling engineering teams
• In-depth technical knowledge in identity, authorization, cloud security, or distributed systems
• Experience in end-to-end product or platform ownership in collaboration with product management
• Skilled in hiring, developing, and retaining engineering talent
