Director of Emergency Services
About the role
The Director is responsible for the strategic vision, administrative oversight, and clinical and nursing operations of the Emergency Department. Works closely with medical staff, nursing staff, and organizational leadership to develop, implement, and maintain clinical programs that enhance quality of care and promote a high level of patient and provider satisfaction. Provides leadership and oversight of the department’s financial and human resources, including staffing, employee development, performance management, and operational efficiency. Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards and promotes continuous quality improvement and patient safety within the Emergency Department.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred; demonstrated management experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Nebraska or a compact state license.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications.
- Emergency Nursing certification strongly preferred.
- 3–5 years of nursing experience, including supervisory or management experience, preferred.
