About the role
North Ridge Health and Rehab in New Hope, MN is seeking a full-time Director of Education (BSN, RN) to join their team. They are a premier training facility offering opportunities to advance nursing careers in a community with 320 beds: LTC, TCU, Memory Care, and Dialysis Den, including an on-site child daycare center.
Responsibilities
- Inform staff about campus policies, procedures, and general job duties.
- Organize and conduct both general and mini orientation programs for all staff.
- Aid Human Resources in implementing new processes, such as TB Mantoux Chest X-rays.
- Plan, develop, and implement new educational programs.
- Schedule classes based on yearly needs.
- Cookordinate continuing education opportunities for staff, ensuring compliance with the corporate calendar.
- Monitor staff compliance with Relias education and other learning requirements.
- Offer safety education programs covering CPR & First Aid, IV, and AWAIR.
- Participate in quality assurance committees and related tasks.
- Maintain Educational Department policies and procedures.
- Take part in facility mock surveys.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as requested.
Qualifications
- BSN, RN licensure with the MN Board of Nursing.
- 3-5 years’ experience in leadership or teaching roles within long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
- Demonstrates the ability to organize material and present it efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
- Current CPR, BLS certifications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPPA regulations.
- Desire to work with the elderly.
Pay
The educational position earns a competitive salary of up to $93,000-$9,000 (based on knowledge, skills, ability, and working experience).
