Director of Echocardiography (ZSFG)
About the role
The Division of Cardiology at Zuckerberg San Francisco General, a major teaching hospital of the University of California, San Francisco, is recruiting a full-time Director of the Echocardiography Lab at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. We are seeking an outstanding clinician, educator, and leader with a record of expertise in echocardiography, excellence in providing inpatient and outpatient care, and effective education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Responsibilities
- Direct the Echocardiography Lab
- Provide inpatient and outpatient care
- Educate medical students, residents, and fellows
Requirements
- MD degree
- Board certified or board eligible in cardiovascular medicine
- Level III competence in echocardiography
- Experience with technical and administrative aspects of hospital-based echocardiography systems is preferred
- Interests and/or experience in cardiovascular research is highly desirable
- Qualify for appointment as faculty at UCSF School of Medicine at a level commensurate with experience and qualifications

Pay
The total compensation for this position ranges from $131,200–$344,400. Total compensation at the University of California, San Francisco includes your base salary, which is determined by your rank and step at appointment, and negotiated pay for Health Sciences Compensation Plan members. Faculty who are members of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan may also be eligible for additional incentive pay.
