The Opportunity
The Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine (ESFCOM) at Washington State University invites applications for the role of Director of Disability Resources and Learning Support within the Office of Student Experience. The position is located in Spokane, Washington.
Required Qualifications For All Candidates
- Masters or terminal degree in law, counseling, rehabilitation, psychology, education, public health, medicine, or other field given context of work experience and/or other qualifications.
- Eligibility for faculty appointment within a department in the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine.
- Familiarity with medical school technical standards, clinical training environments, simulation-based education, and testing accommodations.
- Experience managing sensitive, complex, and confidential accommodation cases.
- Excellent consultation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Commitment to fostering access and opportunity in the academic environment.
- In-person presence on WSU Spokane Health Sciences campus.
Preferred Qualifications For All Candidates
- Record of teaching, faculty development, committee leadership, or scholarship relevant to the role.
- Experience with accessibility strategy, systems improvement, or program leadership.
- Experience supervising professional or student support staff and administering academic support or learning assistance programs in higher education or health professions education settings.
Additional Information
The screening of applicants begins August 17, 2026, and continues until the recruitment closes on September 13, 2026, at 11:59pm PDT. This is a full-time (100% FTE), temporary position. This position is exempt. Monthly Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
