Overview

Elderwood at Waverly is hiring a Director of Dining Services to lead their skilled nursing food service operation. The role involves leading daily kitchen and dining operations, ensuring compliance with CMS and DOH regulations, managing staff, budgets, and inventory, and representing dining services in care plan meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen & dining operations
• Ensure CMS & DOH compliance
• Manage staff, budgets, and inventory
• Partner on menus & quality improvement
• Represent dining services in care plan meetings

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Food Service Management (or Hospitality)
• Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Service Manager
• Three years supervisory experience required
• At least one year experience in a health care setting required
• Working knowledge of CMS and DOH regulations as they relate to food service
• Experience with the QIS survey process preferred
• Computer skills and knowledge in nutritional software programs preferred
