Position Overview

Premier luxury senior living community in Seattle undergoing significant growth and transformation. The Director of Dining Services must be a highly experienced hospitality leader capable of balancing resident satisfaction, financial performance, employee engagement, and operational excellence in a highly visible environment.

Required Experience

  • Leadership Experience:

    • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive food service leadership experience.
    • Previous Director of Dining Services, Executive Dining Manager, Executive Chef, Hotel F&B Director, Country Club Food & Beverage Director, or Luxury Senior Living leadership experience preferred.
    • Experience leading multiple managers and large frontline teams.
    • Demonstrated success in building leadership teams and developing future leaders.
  • Financial Acumen:

    • Strong P&L management experience.
    • Proven success managing labor budgets.
    • Experience controlling food cost and inventory.
    • Comfortable with financial reporting, forecasting, and operational analytics.
    • Strong understanding of productivity management.
  • Client & Resident Relations:

    • Executive-level communication skills.
    • Experience managing high-expectation clients and stakeholders.
    • Ability to navigate resident concerns professionally and confidently.
    • Skilled relationship builder.
  • Specific Needs:

    • The next DDS must be able to:
    • Stabilize labor management.
    • Eliminate unnecessary overtime.
    • Improve food cost performance.
    • Ensure consistent financial reporting and accountability.
    • Maintain survey readiness standards.
    • Strengthen management team performance.
    • Build a sustainable staffing model.
    • Improve utilization of operational systems and reporting tools.
    • Lead through the expansion and future opening of the new tower.
    • Collaborate with Culinary, Operations, and Leadership to elevate the dining experience.

Strong preference for candidates with backgrounds in:

Qualifications
